Finding us at The Renfro

Left on Read is located inside The Renfro, a historic building in downtown Wichita—but the entrance can be a little tricky if you haven’t been before.

You won’t enter through the front door on the Renfro side. Instead, head to Gallery Alley, which runs along the side of the building. If you're standing in front of The Renfro with your back to the building and Naftzger Park in front of you, turn left and walk to the end of the building. Make another left, and you’ll see the rainbow-painted alleyway filled with art installations—including a giant spider sculpture. That’s Gallery Alley.

Walk down the alley and look for the sign for Left on Read...on the left. We’re located in Suite 200, between Gloss Nails and Elizabeth White Hair Co.

Current hours:
Wednesday–Thursday: 12 PM – 5 PM
Friday–Saturday: 11 AM – 6 PM
Closed Sunday–Tuesday

  • Unique merch and gift items, including our best-selling enamel pins with original phrases

  • Book launches, author signings, and field trips that bring stories off the page and into real life

  • Community-centered programming like coworking sessions, book clubs, podcast tapings, business meetups, and more

  • A welcoming space for rest, reflection, conversation, or just a quick escape into a good book
