Receive Your Quote & Terms
If your date is available, we’ll send a quote and the rental terms. Pricing varies depending on the type and duration of your event. Rentals typically include a two-hour minimum.
Secure Your Date
Payment in full is required to secure booking.
Please note: Smoking, open flames, and any wall-mounted décor are not permitted. Decorations must be free-standing—nothing may be taped, hung, or otherwise attached to the walls. Balloons must be properly secured or weighted due to the height of the ceilings and airflow in the space.
There is no kitchen access or refrigeration available, so we recommend bringing a cooler for cold items and a warming device for hot food if needed. All food and drink must remain in designated areas, and a protective barrier such as a tablecloth or placemats is required under all serving dishes. No food or beverages may be placed on bookshelves or displays. Outside food and beverages are welcome unless otherwise noted.
Renters are responsible for setup and cleanup unless arranged in advance. All events must end on time to respect the building’s shared use and staff schedules.

Payment and Cancellations: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Reservations must be made at least one month in advance. Requests made less than 30 days before the desired date may be subject to a last-minute booking fee. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable.

Damages and Additional Charges: Renters are responsible for leaving the space in its original condition. In the event of damages, excessive cleaning needs, or failure to comply with these policies, the renter will be invoiced for associated costs.​

A Note on Privacy: Every after-hours event is attended by a Left on Read staff member. Our staff is committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a respectful, judgment-free environment for all attendees.

Community Standards and Alignment: Left on Read exists to center and uplift the experiences of Black and Brown individuals. By renting the space, you and your guests agree to respect this purpose and participate in a manner that aligns with its energy and intention. Left on Read reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or remove from its premises any event or individuals whose actions conflict with this mission, disrupt the safety or integrity of the space, or create a hostile environment.​
