We love it when book clubs bring the conversation to Left on Read. Here's what to know if your group wants to order books or meet in the store after hours. 

Group Book Orders
We offer up to 15% off book club selections when:
-You order at least 5 copies of the same title
-All books are prepaid in full when placing the order
-Orders are placed at least two weeks in advance of the club meeting

Discount tiers
5–9 copies: 10% off
10 or more copies: 15% off

Books must be the same edition and format (e.g., all paperback or all hardcover). Some titles (such as sale or non-returnable items) may not qualify for discounts.

To qualify for book club pricing, orders must be placed under a registered book club name (not an individual). This helps us track and prioritize support for active reading groups.

After-Hours Book Club Rentals
We host book clubs after hours when the store is closed to the public. All meetings are staffed by a Left on Read team member.

Friday - Saturday
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Sunday - Tuesday (Closed Days)
12:00 PM - 8 PM

Rental Rate
Wednesday - Saturday
$50/hour (2-hour minimum)

Sunday - Tuesday 
$75/hour (2-hour minimum)

Book clubs that place a prepaid order of 5 or more copies for their selected read will have the first two hours of rental waived. Additional time beyond the initial two hours will be billed at the applicable hourly rate.
 
Rental Includes:
-Seating for up to 23 guests
-Restroom access

A Note on Privacy
Every after-hours event is attended by a Left on Read staff member. We honor the vulnerability and openness that often arise in book club conversations. What’s shared in our space stays Left on Read. Our staff is committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a respectful, judgment-free environment for all attendees.

Book club name (this will serve as your registration for future orders or rentals)

Contact person’s name and phone number

Preferred meeting date and time

Title, author, and format of the book you’d like to order

Quantity of books needed

Any special requests or notes (e.g., bringing food, accessibility needs)

We’ll follow up to confirm availability, pricing, and next steps.
