Banned Books Read-in

Book bans are spreading across the country, but here at Left on Read we believe in protecting stories, voices, and truth. That’s why we’re teaming up with Libro.fm and Silent Book Club to host a Banned Books Week Read-In on Tuesday, October 7 from 4–7 PM.

We’ll start with a community discussion on censorship: how it shows up, why it matters, and what we can do about it. We’ll then open the floor for the sharing of passages, stories, and reflections on the books that shaped us.

Missed the delicious luxury hot chocolate at last week’s Blackprint launch? Don’t worry. The Velvet Cup will be back in the building serving their signature sips and offering holiday-ready gifts.

Every attendee will also receive a free audiobook as a thank you for showing up, reading, and raising your voice.
